Today we’re making Crispy Karela Chips – a healthy, crunchy, and delicious snack made from bitter gourd (karela). Even if you don’t usually like karela, you’re going to love this crispy version!
These chips are perfect as a tea-time snack or a healthy side dish with your meals. Super easy to prepare and full of flavor!

🍽️ Ingredients:
Bitter gourd (karela) – 3 to 4 medium-sized
Salt – to taste
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Chaat masala – 1 tsp (optional)
Rice flour or corn flour – 2 tbsp (for extra crispiness)
Oil – for deep frying

🔥 Instructions:
1. Wash and thinly slice the karela.
2. Sprinkle salt and rest for 10–15 minutes to reduce bitterness.
3. Rinse and dry the slices.
4. Mix with spices and flour.
5. Deep fry until golden and crispy.

✅ Tips:
Slice the karela as thin as possible for maximum crunch.
Can be stored in an airtight container for 3–4 days.
Air fryer or oven method can also be used for a healthier version.
