South Indian Classic – Sambhar with Idli ✨
A wholesome, comforting combo straight from South India 💛
Steaming hot idlis paired with tangy, spicy sambhar – the ultimate soul food 😋🌿
✨ Sambhar Recipe:
1.Oil
2.Mustard seeds (rai)
3.Fenugreek seeds (methi dana)
4.Hing, Curry leaves, Tej patta
5.Dry red chilli, Cinnamon (dalchini)
6.Black cardamom, Black pepper, Cloves
7.Chopped green chilli
8.Chopped tomato
9.Red chilli powder, Coriander powder, Turmeric powder
10.Salt, Sambhar & Garam masala
11.Chopped bottle gourd, potato, carrot, beetroot, add soaked arhar daal
12.Imli ka pulp
Method:
1️⃣ Boil soaked arhar dal with salt, turmeric & water until soft.
2️⃣ In a pan, heat oil & add rai, methi, hing, curry leaves, tej patta, red chilli & whole spices.
3️⃣ Add chopped green chilli & tomato, sauté with powdered spices.
4️⃣ Add chopped vegetables, cook till tender.
5️⃣ Mix in boiled dal & imli pulp. Simmer until thick & aromatic.
Serve piping hot idlis with sambhar & coconut chutney 🥥
