Cheap Gluten Free Bread, FINALLY! No more of this $10/loaf stuff, just because your body can’t process gluten doesn’t mean you need a small loan to sustain yourself.
Recipe:
1 Packet (2 & ¼ tsp) of yeast
1 & ¼ C (300 mL) water
2 & ½ C (300g) GF Flour
2 tbsp of sugar
At LEAST 1 tbsp salt
2 eggs (or see substitutions)
3 tbsp oil
1 tbsp white or apple cider vinegar
One binder from the list below:
Substitutions for 2 eggs:
½ c (120 mL) applesauce
½ c (125 mL) banana
½ c (120 mL) chickpea Juice
Binder options (choose one):
2 flax eggs (2 tbsp flax or ground flax + 6 tbsp water – let congeal for 5 mins before using) Note: if you use whole flax seeds, you will have seeds in your bread.
¼ C (120 mL) Mashed or instant potatoes
¼ c (120 mL) powdered or ground oats
