Sattu Tikki | Chhath Puja Special | Healthy Bihar Snack Recipe
A very special recipe celebrating Bihar and its iconic festival, Chhath Puja!
This Sattu Tikki is healthy, delicious, and bursting with flavor — perfect for festive snacking!
Ingredients:
Sattu (roasted gram flour) – 1 cup
Boiled potatoes – 2 medium (mashed)
Beetroot – ½ small (grated, 2–3 tbsp)
Onion – 3 tbsp (finely chopped)
Green chilli – 1 (finely chopped)
Ginger – ½ tsp (grated)
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp (chopped)
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – ½ tsp
Chaat masala – ½ tsp
Salt – to taste
Oil – for shallow frying
Method:
Mix all ingredients, form tikkis, and shallow fry till golden and crisp.
Garnish with toasted sesame seeds, serve on lettuce with mint chutney!
