Recipe for cooking and ingredients:
Today we’re making a delicious and healthy apple pie!
Tender apple filling with dried cranberries, cinnamon, and orange zest under a crispy oat-nut crumble — no flour, no sugar, but incredible flavor!
For the Apple Filling:
• 2 apples (peeled, cored, cut into pieces)
• 30 g (⅕ cup / 1 oz) dried cranberries
• 4 tbsp water
• Sweetener to taste
• ⅔ tsp cinnamon
• 1.5 tbsp cornstarch
For the Crumble:
• 150 g (1½ cups / 5.3 oz) oats (ground in a coffee grinder)
• 40 g (⅓ cup / 1.4 oz) walnuts (chopped)
• 3 tbsp coconut oil
• Zest of 1 orange
• Pinch of salt
• Sweetener to taste
For the Base:
• 1 egg
• Pinch of salt
• 4 tbsp water
Baking:
• 16 cm (6.3 in) round pan with parchment
• 180°C (360°F) — 60 minutes
Serving and Storage
• Serve warm or at room temperature — with tea or plant-based yogurt.
• Store in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
