What defines a som tum is 2 things: first, the spicy and sour dressing that is unique to these salads, and second, it must be made in a mortar and pestle (though there are ways around it which we will discuss). The clue is also in the name; som means sour, and tum means to pound in a mortar and pestle.

Ingredients:
Whole Cabbage The Hard White Part
5 grams Meat
2 Noodles
⅓ Soy Sauce
Spoonful of Peanuts
Handful Cilantro
2 Leaves Green Onion
3 cloves Garlic
Spoonful Chili Flakes
3 Chili Peppers
Cooking Edible Oil
Pre-seasoned Sour and Spicy Sauce (Walmart)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Cabbage and slice the white part into strips then rinse and dry.

2. Then Prepare the meat for stir-Fried till color changes your choice to crispy the Meat.

3. When done Get another big bowl and put the cabbage peanuts and meat.

4. Next Prepare the chili Sauce and mix it to a small bowl.

5. When done mix it to your Salad and fill your tummy.
