Paneer Paratha Recipe
For the Dough:
1 cup of water
1 tablespoon of groundnut oil
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of sugar
Mix all these ingredients together and knead the dough well in a food processor until you get a smooth and pliable dough. Set it aside.
For the Filling:
200 grams of paneer, crumbled
A handful of coriander leaves, finely chopped
1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
2 green chillies, finely chopped
A small piece of ginger, grated (optional)
1 teaspoon of jeera (cumin) powder
1 teaspoon of pepper powder
1.5 teaspoons of coriander powder
1.5 teaspoons of garam masala
Salt to taste
Combine all the filling ingredients in the food processor and blend them into a fine mixture. This will be the stuffing for your parathas.
To Assemble the Parathas:
Take a portion of the dough and roll it out into a small circle.
Place a spoonful of the paneer filling in the center, then fold the edges of the dough over the filling and seal it.
Gently roll it out again into a round paratha shape.
Cooking:
Heat an iron tawa (griddle), add a bit of butter, and cook the paratha on both sides until it’s golden brown and cooked through.
Serve hot with onion raita. Enjoy your delicious, protein-rich paneer paratha for breakfast or dinner!
