Los Angeles is beautiful! An hour drive and you are in the mountains surrounded by pine trees — or, by the ocean listening to the waves crashing on the shore. But aside from the beauty of this city, we are super blessed that we could garden year round in this part of the country where winter is mild like in the Mediterranean. In this video I will show you what we are planting and growing this time of the year — plus a quick clip from our favorite nursery — Green Thumb.

What we planted today – lettuce (Amanda and buttercrunch), watermelon radish, pink radish, bull’s blood beets, arugula, Georgia collard greens, asparagus, garlic, purple cauliflower, pansies and herbs – cilantro, lovage, winter savory and rue.
