• 400 g (about 1 lb) ground beef
• 1 egg
• Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
• 1 onion (chopped)
• 1 carrot (chopped)
• 1 leek (chopped)
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• ½ cup tomato sauce
• ½ cup red wine
• 1 cup water
• 6–8 small potatoes (cut in half)
