Try this soft and tasty Ragi Chocolate Cake made in an appe pan šš° Naturally sweetened with jaggery, itās a quick and healthy snack for kids and family š¾š Perfect for guilt-free indulgence!
INGREDIENTS
– 1 Cup (120g) Ragi/Nachni Flour
– 1/2 Cup (120ml) Yogurt/Dahi
– 3/4 Cup (130g) Jaggery/Gud
– 1/4 Cup (60ml) Oil
– 1/4 Tsp (1ml) Vanilla Essence
– 2 Tbsp (12g) Cocoa Powder
– 1 Tsp (4g) Baking Powder
– 1/4 Tsp (1g) Baking Soda
– A pinch (0.5g) of Salt
METHOD
– To a bowl, add yogurt, jaggery, oil & vanilla essence. Mix till well combined.
– ā Sift together ragi flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder and salt.
– ā Mix till well combined and there are no lumps.
– ā Place a tawa and place a nonstick appe pan on it. Pour batter in the pits leaving some space on top for the cake to rise.
– ā Cover with a lid and cook for 15-20 minutes at low flame or till the cake is cooked.
– ā Remove the cakes from appe pan immediately and enjoy!
