Crispy Korean Sandwich | My dream is to open an Asian café, and I’m building the menu one dish at a time – with you here! This sandwich layers air-fried crispy paneer tossed in a sticky gochujang glaze, a fresh sesame slaw, and creamy sriracha mayo. Try it when you want something different but comforting!
Slaw:
1 carrot
1/4th of a cabbage
1/2 stalk green onion
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 tsp white sesame seeds
Paneer:
100g -1/2 a block
Water to dip
Rice Flour – 2 tbsps
Corn Flour – 2 tablespoon
Salt – to taste
Pepper – to taste
Glaze:
Garlic ( finely chopped )- 3 cloves
Gochujang Paste – 2 tablespoons
Soy Sauce – 1 tablespoon
Rice Wine Vinegar – 1 tablespoon
Brown Sugar – 1/2 tablespoon
Sesame Oil – 2 teaspoons
Siracha Mayonnaise
Siracha sauce-1/2tbsp
Mayonnaise-1/3rd cup
Rice/Apple cider vinegar-1tsp
Pinch of sugar and salt
2 slices of bread to assemble- White bread
Process:
* Mix together the rice flour, cornstarch along with salt and pepper.
* Coat the paneer cube into the mixture. Dip it in clean water, and coat again with the flour mixture.
* Drizzle with some netural oil on top of the paneer and air fry at 220degrees for about 15mins or until crispy
* In a heated pan add onion and garlic. Saute for about a minute.
* Add a little water along with soy sauce, rice vinegar, gochujang paste, brown sugar and salt.Give it a nice stir and simmer.
* Coat the air fried paneer into the glaze.
* For the slaw combine the veggies in a bowl along with soy sauce and sesame seeds.
* In a bowl combine mayonnaise along with siracha sauce, vinegar and pinc of salt and sugar.
* Toast the slice of bread from both sides until crispy.
* Spread the siracha mayo, place the paneer cube coated in glaze and slaw on top. Place the other slice of toasted bread and enjoy
