🍲 Upma Recipe (Soft & Tasty)
📝 Ingredients:
1 cup rava (sooji/semolina)
2 tbsp oil or ghee
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp chana dal
1 tsp urad dal
8–10 curry leaves
1 green chilli (chopped)
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
1 small carrot (optional, chopped)
2½ cups water
Salt to taste
1 tbsp lemon juice
Fresh coriander leaves
👩‍🍳 Method:
Dry roast rava on low flame till aromatic. Keep aside.
Heat oil/ghee in a pan. Add mustard seeds, chana dal & urad dal.
Add curry leaves, green chilli, and onion. Sauté till light golden.
Add vegetables and sauté for 1–2 minutes.
Pour water, add salt, and bring to a boil.
Slowly add roasted rava while stirring continuously.
Cover and cook for 2–3 minutes on low flame.
Switch off flame, add lemon juice & coriander. Mix well.
✨ Serve hot with coconut chutney or pickle.
