Let’s make this viral Valentine’s Day dip healthier and more macro friendly with a few easy swaps!

My Macro Monday series is all about taking viral recipes that look amazing, but don’t quite support protein or weight loss goals-and making them actually fit the bill🙌

So follow @2explorewellness for the rest of the series, and more high protein recipes to fuel your weight loss journey!

For up to 220 LESS calories, 16g MORE protein, and 30g LESS sugar- PER SERVING you can have a super similar dessert that helps support your health and weight loss goals!

Here’s my updated version:

Ingredients:
• 8oz blended cottage cheese
• 4oz fat free or sugar free cool whip
• 2 scoops vanilla or strawberry protein powder (whey casein works best to smoothly thicken)
• OPTIONAL 2 oz marshmallow fluff
• For pink color- blended strawberries, raspberries, or dragon fruit for a little boost of fiber- but beet powder (or juice) works great too! Check out @suncorefoods for some healthy color options

Chill in the fridge until set, then enjoy with some fruit or a few cookies!

The estimated calories and macros for this original recipe based on 4 servings are:

Calories: 383
Protein: 1g
Carbs: 56g
Fat: 17g
Sugar: 37g

My swaps bring it to roughly:
(With marshmallow fluff)
Calories: 212
Protein: 17g
Carbs: 26g
Fat: 2g
Sugar: 13g (you can swap for a sugar free cool whip as well)

Without marshmallow fluff
Calories: 164
Protein: 17g
Carbs: 14g
Fat: 2g
Sugar: 5g (you can swap for a sugar free cool whip as well)

These easy swaps give you a lower sugar, more balanced version that will taste just as great.
