They stay soft for hours, making them an ideal choice for school or office lunchboxes. Whether you enjoy them with a spicy chutney or your evening chai, these savory bites are satisfying and wholesome.

Recipe-
– In a chopper, take 1/2 cup raw sprouted moong.
– Add 3-4 garlic cloves, 3-4 green chillies and 1 small piece of ginger.
– Coarsely chop everything.
– Take the mixture out into the big mixing bowl.
– Into that add finely chopped 1 medium size onion, a small piece of carrot finely chopped, 1 small bunch of chopped coriander, 1/2 lime juice, 1 tsp cumin seeds, salt per taste (I have used Bhoj Masale Pink Salt) and a small piece of jaggery (optional).
– Mix everything well, then add 1 cup Bajra atta and 1/4 cup Suji (you can use rice flours or besan too).
– Now add water as required. And make the batter as shown in the video.
– Just before making appe, add 1.5 tsp ENO powder.
– To make appe, heat the appe pan on medium flame. Add oil & white sesame seeds in each cavity.
– Then fill the cavity with appe batter.
– Let the appe cook on slow to medium flame till you get golden color on each side.
– Serve with chutney or chai/coffee and this is very good recipe for tiffin as well.
