How do we live off of $37 worth of food a week ($5 a day). It’s not the most comfortable thing to do, and you wouldn’t be eating much besides a home-cooked meals variety: oatmeal, pasta, chicken, some frozen or fresh vegetables, milk, eggs, but it’ll keep you fed and relatively healthy.
