Aiden makes a dairy-free banana bread. Please see the description below for recipe and links to purchase your ingredients.
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup of maple syrup
2 eggs (use flax eggs for a vegan version)
3 ripe bananas
1 cup of almond flour
3/4 cup of whole wheat flour
2 tbsp of baking powder
1 tsp of salt
1/2 cup of chocolate chips
Follow the video tutorial for instructions.
We tend to buy these ingredients in bulk, as they are such staples for us.
Coconut Oil – I recommend getting a big tub. It’s great for baking, pan-frying, and also skin care.
Maple Syrup – It’s important to use real maple syrup (not maple flavored corn syrup). High quality maple syrup goes a long way
Almond Flour – it keeps the banana bread really light and airy (especially when combining with a denser flour like whole wheat. I tend to buy this one in bulk too – it’s great for pancakes, baking goods, etc.
Chocolate chips – these are the best ones I’ve found so far that are dairy-free. They actually serve for quite a few allergies. We buy these in bulk too.
