Main Ingredients:
• Toor Dal (Kandi Pappu) – 1 medium glass
• Water – 2 glasses
• Spinach (Palakura) – 5 bunches (clean & chopped)
• Green Chillies – 10
• Turmeric Powder – 1 spoon
• Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 spoon
• Oil – 1 ladle (ganta)
• Chopped Coriander Leaves (Kothimeera) – little
• Curry Leaves – few
After Cooking:
• Salt – as per taste
• Tamarind – small lemon size (extract juice)
• Fenugreek (Methi) Leaves – few
For Tadka / Popu:
• Oil – as needed
• Cumin Seeds (Jeera) – 1 spoon
• Mustard Seeds (Avalu) – 1 spoon
• Dry Red Chillies – 4 to 5
• Curry Leaves – few
• Garlic – few cloves
🔥 Add all main ingredients into cooker and cook for 4–5 whistles.
👉 After pressure releases, add salt and mash slightly.
👉 Add tamarind juice and methi leaves, boil for 5 minutes.
👉 Prepare tadka and pour over the dal.
