In this video, we will make Poha.

Poha is an Indian snack, prepared in different states of India.

Poha is made of processed flattened rice (beaten rice), roasted with green chilly, onions, cumin seeds, curry leaves, mustard seeds
etc.

It is a high carbohydrate, low fat, healthy and quick meal that can be made in a few minutes.

Cooking Time – 13-15 mins
For three persons

Ingredients:

1. Poha (Chura) – 100 gram
2. Cooking oil – 2 big tablespoon
3. Cumin seeds (Jeera) – one teaspoon
4. mustard seeds (sarso) – one teaspoon
5. Fenugreek seeds (methi) – 6-7 seeds
6. sugar – 1/2 tablespoon (optional)
7. Onion (Pyaaz) – 2 medium sized
8. Green Chillies (Hari Mirch) – 2
9. Peanuts (Moonphali) – 50 gram
10. Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder) – 1/2 tablespoon
11. Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
12. Curry leaves (Kadi Patta) – 12-13 leaves
13. Fibre Sev – for garnishing
14. Coriander Leaves (Hara Dhaniya) – for garnishing

Cooking steps:

1. Wash the Poha with the running water, then transfer the Poha in the
separate bowl and keep it aside
2. Turn on the flame and heat the kadhai, then pour some cooking oil
in the kadhai.
3. Then add peanuts in the kadhai and roast for the 3-4 minutes on the
low flames and keep stiring the peanuts properly. Once the peanuts are roasted, take out the peanuts in a bowl and keep aside.
4. After that add some more oil in the kadhai, and let it heat properly,
once the oil is heated, then add fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilly, chopped onion in the warm oil and stir all the things properly for few seconds.
5. Then, add turmeric powder, sugar and mix it
6. when all the masalas are cooked properly, then add soaked Poha, salt,
roasted peanuts and lemon juice in the kadhai and mix all the things properly, and cook the mixture for 2-3 minutes on the low flame.
7. Then, turn off the flame and take out the Poha in a serving plate
8. Then garnish the Poha with chopped onion, fibre sev, green coriander
leaves and with the slice of lemon
