In this vlog, I’m sharing a delicious steamed recipe made with rava (suji), bread, and fresh vegetables — soft, fluffy, nutritious, and made without deep frying!

👉Ingredients:
3/4 cup plain yogurt/curd
3-4 white bread
3/4 cup sooji/fine rava
3/4 – 1 cup rice flour (can add more if needed while making the dough consistency)
1/2 cup Grated carrots
Finely chopped ginger (1 inch)
Finely chopped green chilies (2-3 as per your taste)
1 tsp salt or salt to taste
1 tsp baking soda
Curry leaves, 1-2 whole red chiles, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1tsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp white sesame seeds, tsp turmeric powder, t tsp kashmiri red chili powder, 1 tbsp garam masala (optional)
1 tbsp Oil and 1 tbsp ghee

👉Method:

First Step: Take curd in a bowl add pinch of salt and add water to make butter milk consistency, into it add bread pieces. Let it soak about 5-10 mins.
Second Step: Take a blender and pour this soaked bread with butter milk, add sooji to make a paste or thick batter.
Third Step: Take sooji paste/batter into a bowl, salt, baking soda, and mix very well. Next add green chilies, carrots, ginger and mix again. At this point add rice flour and combine well to make a soft dough to make momo size flat patties.
Fourth Step: Grease your palms with oil and make all the patties as shown in the video.
Fifth Step: Lay all the patties into a steamer plate and steam until cooks thoroughly. Check with the fork or toothpick, if it comes clear it is fully cooked.
Last Step: Add oil and ghee, once it is hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, once it’s crackle add sesame seeds, curry leaves, pinch of salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala (optional). Finally add all the steamed and cooked patties and coat them with tempering. Cover it with lid and cook for another 5-10 to get that crispy outer layer.
