✨Crockpot Beef Tips and Gravy✨
1. Take 1.5-2 pounds stew meat and season how you would like. I used pepper, kinders woodfired blend and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
2. Take a large skillet and brown for a few minutes then flip and brown another few minutes until a little crispy. Then remove meat. To the same skillet add 2-3 tablespoons of butter and 1 sliced onion. Sauté for a few minutes then add two tablespoons of minced garlic. Deglaze pan with a splash of beef broth. Scrap any brown bits off of your pan.
3. Add your meat to your crockpot then your onions and broth. Now add 1 packet of au jus mix. A few dash’s of Worcestershire sauce. Then add 1 1/2-2 cups of beef broth. Depends on how much gravy you want. Top with 1/2 stick of sliced butter
4. Mix and cook on high 3-4 hours or low 6-7 hours.
5. If broth isn’t thick enough to a small bowl add 2 tablespoons of corn starch with 2 tablespoons water and mix. Then add to your crockpot. Cook another 30 minutes or until thickened.✨Double recipe for large family✨
6. Enjoy over mashed potatoes
✨Mashed Potatoes✨
5 pound bag russet potatoes; peeled and cubed
Boil potatoes in water until fork tender
(If doing 8 pounds of potatoes increase sour and cream cheese)
Once your potatoes are done dump water. Now add:
1 block cream cheese (you can add a little more cream cheese and sour cream if you want! I do sometimes!)
1 cup sour cream
1/2 stick butter
Salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
(If doing 8 pounds of potatoes do 1 1/2 cups of sour cream and 1 1/2 blocks of cream cheese)
Mash or use electric mixer until potatoes are smooth
Take a stick of butter and butter a 9×13 pan. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese until everything is covered. Generously!
Pour potatoes in your pan and top with Parmesan cheese generously again. Grated is best for this.
Take 1/2 stick of butter and slice it up. Place on top of your potatoes.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes or until golden
