We all have been through the days when it feels boring to cook & eat simple roti and sabzi. Well we at Vegetarians Paradise have a solution for this. Today we are going to show you how to make a tasty and healthy wrap with the same roti & sabzi but with a delightful twist.

Today’s recipe is moong sprouts wrap made with whole wheat Roti. This dish will be liked by the young one’s as well as the adults of your family alike.

Moong beans are superfood which have a great combination of proteins, fibres, carbohydrates, iron, manganese and vitamin B.

Essential amino acid present in moong beans increase when they sprout up. Sprouted moong contain huge amount of antioxidants which may reduce risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. It also helps to control LDL cholesterol levels.

Moong sprouts help in boosting blood circulation by maintaining red blood cell count with significant amounts of iron and copper.

It is a complete meal consisting of proteins, carbohydrates and fibres.

Ingredients:-

For wrap-
1 – Roti
Stuffing
Curd sauce

For stuffing-

1 tbsp – Oil
1 tsp – Cumin seeds
1 tsp – Mustard seeds
1/4 tsp – Asafoetida
1 medium – Chopped onion
1/4 cup – Chopped tomato
1/8 cup – Dry coconut
1 tsp – Salt
1 tsp – Red chilli powder
1/2 tsp – Turmeric
1 tsp – Garam masala
1/2 cup – Sprouted moong
1/4 cup – Water

For curd sauce-

1/4 tsp – Red chilli powder
1/4 tsp – Turmeric
1/4 – Salt
2 tbsp – Curd

Instructions:-

1. In a pan, add oil and let become hot. To that add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and asafoetida and saute well.

2. Then add chopped onion and saute them but do not overcook them.

3. Then add red chilli powder, turmeric, salt and garam masala and mix everything.

4. Add chopped tomato and saute.(Do not overcook.) Then add dry coconut and saute.

5. Add sprouted moong beans and water and Mir everything well with each other. Cover it with lid and cook it for 10-12 minutes.

6. Once sprouts are cooked, stuffing is ready.

7. In a bowl, add curd, red chilli powder, turmeric and salt and mix properly. Curd sauce is ready.

8. Take a roti and put some stuffing on it. Sprinkle some curd sauce onto it and fold the sides. Secure them with toothpicks.

Quick, healthy and yummy moong sprouts wrap is ready to serve.
