You must have been making okras in different kind of recipes but i tried making it in a different way..which you can have it as an healthy snack…do give it a try and you’ll love it.
Recipe :
INGREDIENTS
200 g bhindi (okras), washed, wiped dry, top trimmed, slit into half lengthwise
1 cup (4 tbsp) gram flour
1/4 cup groundnuts
1/2 tsp asafetida (hing)
1″ piece ginger, peeled, finely grated
4 green chillies slit into half
1/2 aamchur powder
1 tbsp garam masala powder
1/4 cup grated coconut
1 tbsp jaggery*, crumbled
1 tbsp lemon juice
Oil for frying
Salt to taste
METHOD
1. Put the groundnuts in a wok and roast until fragrant and lightly
brown. When cool, remove the skin. Place in the mixer and
grind coarsely.
2. Add the gram flour in the pan after its roasted add the groundnut/peanuts and mix, then add hing and all the spices together and mix well
(garam masala powder, aamchur and salt to taste. Mix well.

3. Heat the oil in a wok (kadhai); add ginger and chillies along with the okras until cooked, then add in the lemon juice mix it and then add the grated coconut and jaggery and cover the wok and let it sit for 10 mins.
4. Serve hot with chappati or have it as a snack.
