In this Starch Solution Recipes video, Plant Based Storm and I bring you Thanksgiving Sides. One will be sweet and the other savory. These recipes will help you with your Starch Solution weight loss because they contain very little fat and can easily be pared with plenty of veggies for a 50/50 plate.

Recipe:

Potatoes Au Gratin

5 Yukon gold potatoes or your choice
1 ½ cups of plant milk
¼ soaked cashews, can be omitted
3 tbsp of nutritional yeast
3 tbsp of tapioca powder
1 tbsp of garlic powder
1 tbsp of onion powder
¼ tsp of garlic salt, divided

Directions:
Slice potatoes into thin medallions

For the cream sauce:
Add all ingredients except the potatoes and garlic salt.

Blend until smooth and creamy.

Cook on medium high heat in a non-stick skillet until desired texture.
(about 2-3 minutes)
Remove from heat and set aside.

For the potatoes:
Add the potato medallions in a deep 10”x10” pie plate in a single layer.
Sprinkle ½ of the garlic salt on the first layer of potatoes.
Add ½ of the cream sauce right on top of the layer of potatoes.
Spread sauce to cover evenly.

Repeat for a second layer.

Bake covered at 350 F for about 1 hour and 20 minutes. (oven times may vary)
After potatoes are tender remove the cover and allow to broil for 2-3 minutes to brown the top.

Serve Hot! Enjoy.
