Recipes:
** Sausage, Potatoes: and Green Beans
– 1 pound beef sausage, diced in bite size pieces
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cans green beans, drained
– 1 cup chicken broth
– 6 potatoes, diced
– 2 tsp. Old Bay Seasoning- or- Seasoning Salt
(if dont have either seasoning add salt, pepper and garlic powder)
* Recipe can be done in an Instant Pot or on the stove top using the same steps.
1. Set Instant Pot to saute and add 1 TBSP oil. Add chopped onion and saute until translucent. Add diced sausage and heat through.
2. Add chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the pot to release browned bits.
3. Add diced potatoes and drained green beans.
4. Add seasoning.
5. Set Instant Pot to manual for 7 minutes. Natural release for 6 minutes or until complete pressure release. ( if using a pot on the stove top, bring to a boil and then lower temp to medium and cook until potatoes are soft.)
6. Stir and serve. Add salt and pepper to taste.
** Salsa Chicken Recipe:
– 6 chicken thighs
– 1/2 cup salsa
– 2 TBSP taco seasoning
1. Place raw chicken and 1 cup of water in Instant Pot and set on manual for 7 minutes. Natural pressure release for 5 minutes.
2. Remove chicken and shred.
3. Return chicken to Instant Pot and press saute setting. Mix chicken, salsa and taco seasoning and let the chicken cook until hot.
4. Serve on soft tortilla shells or whatever you prefer along with cheese, lettuce, salsa, and any additional toppings.
