soya cutlet is a very popular for protein and can be taken as a simple snack item. i personally hate soya but it is very easy to make and can be had as an appetizer. we usually have soya cutlet and veg cutlet as light afternoon snack or evening snack with masala tea.
Ingredients for Soya Cutlet :
1. Soyabean 250 gm
2. Boiled potato 1 medium size
3. Chopped Beans 50 gm
4. Chopped Carrots 1 medium size
5. Refined Oil 30 ml
6. Chopped Onions 2 medium size
7. Chopped Garlic 6 cloves
8. Chopped Tomatoes 1 medium size
9. Chopped Green chilies 6 nos.
10. Chopped Coriander Leaves
11. Turmeric powder ½tbsp
12. Cumin powder ½tbsp
13. Coriander powder ½tbsp
14. Red chili powder ½tbsp
15. Kashmiri red chilli powder ½tbsp
16. Garam Masala powder ½tbsp
17. Homemade Bread Crumbs
18. Cornflour ⅓ cup
19. Salt to taste 1½tbsp
Process for Soya Cutlet :
1. Add 150 gm soyabean, boiled water and soaked it for 15 minutes.
2. Discard the water and keep aside.
3. Make soyabean mince in a mixer grinder.
4. Heat up the pan add 30 ml refined Oil add chopped garlic and lightly saute.
5. Add chopped onions and fry until transparent.
6. Add chopped tomatoes, Chopped Green chilies and fry it for 2 minutes.
7. Add chopped beans, chopped carrots, salt to taste 1½ tbsp and fry it for 2 minutes.
8. Add Turmeric powder ½tbsp, red chili powder ½tbsp, Kashmiri red chili powder ½tbsp, cumin powder ½tbsp, coriander powder ½tbsp and fry until raw smell of masala is gone.
9. Add soyabean mince and stir it continuously until masala mix well.
10. Add boiled smashed potato and mix well.
11. Add chopped coriander leaves, ⅓tbsp garam masala powder.
12. Rest it for 20 minutes to cool down.
13. For Batter Mix add cornflour ⅓ cup, little pinch of salt, water and make a thin batter.
14. For coating add homemade Bread Crumbs 250 gm, little pinch of salt and mix well.
15. Make a ideal round shape using your hand, use finger to make round shape and keep aside.
16. Dip into the thin batter, place into bread crumbs for coating and use hands for round shape coating.
17. Heat up the kadai add refined Oil for deep frying.
18. Deep fry the cutlet on medium heat.
19. Ready to serve.
