SAVORY OATMEAL RECIPE
(for 2 servings)
Ingredients:
1 small onion
1 clove garlic
1 tbsp butter
1 cup rolled oats (90g)
1 cup milk, dairy or non-dairy (240ml)
1 cup chicken or vegetable stock (240ml)
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 oz cheddar cheese (50g)

Preparation:
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and cook the onions and garlic for 2-3 minutes.
Add the rolled oats and dry toast for 1 minute.
Pour the milk and chicken stock, bring to a boil, lower the heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat, season with salt and black pepper, add the grated cheese and stir until melted. Cover and let it soak up the flavors for 5 minutes.
Serve and top with your favorite toppings.
