INGREDIENTS
For the bread dough, you will need:
700 g plain flour
300 ml water
1 teaspoon yeast
2 eggs
100 ml double cream
3 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
For the filling, you will need:
50 g coriander
30 g dill
80 g butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the glaze, you will need:
1 egg
For the decoration you will need:
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
1 teaspoon nigella seeds
METHOD:
STEP 1
In a large glass bowl, mix together the warm water, eggs, olive oil, salt and yeast. Whisk ingredients about 2-3 minutes. Add flour and mix to form a soft dough. Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
STEP 2
Shape the dough like a ball and cover with cling film and leave to rise in a warm place for about an hour or until double in size.
STEP 3
For the filing, chop coriander and dill.
STEP 4
Put butter in a pan, add chopped coriander and dill , fry for 15 minutes on medium heat. After cooking, add salt and black pepper.
STEP 5
Heat the oven to 160 C . Cut the dough into two pieces and roll each piece into a ball . Take one dough ball, roll out, make oval shape. Rub filling on it. Roll like a cigar, then swirl to make spiral.
STEP 6
Place the finished roll on the baking or pizza tray. Brush egg on it and decorate with sprinkle of poppy and nigella seeds.
STEP 7
Bake for 45-50 minutes or untill the bread are golden.
