Is it weird to say that if you’re overweight or obese, you’re very likely undernourished or even malnourished? Let me explain.

This is happening because there are so few nutrients in food today, especially in processed foods. Our bodies are essentially craving these micronutrients, but we’re getting fractions of what we need, while also consuming huge amounts of energy, since about 70% of US food consumption is coming from processed foods which are mostly in the form of refined oils and refined carbs.

So if you want to lose weight, you absolutely need to start with whole, unprocessed foods, that are nutrient-dense and also bioavailable.

Prioritize fat-soluble vitamins, which are vital for optimizing your hormones, all B vitamins, which help with cellular metabolism and overall energy production, vitamin C, and other minerals like calcium, sodium, magnesium, and potassium.

It’s also no coincidence that the most filling foods happen to be from the most nutrient dense foods.

My suggestion is to focus on your micronutrients, use your macros as a secondary tool, and then throw out all that crappy processed food which is what’s making everyone fat and sick.

Give your body the nutrients that it needs and give me a follow if you want to lose weight without counting calories
