This healthy no sugar no fat date bread recipe is perfect for breakfast or for those times you are trying to reduce sugar intake but are craving something sweet. This bread gets its sweetness from the dates and the banana 😋 and can be eaten as it is or with some Greek yogurt and maple syrup on top or with caramel sauce on top🙂
THE RECIPE
200g pitted dates + 1/2tsp bicarbonate of soda + 500ml boiling water
1 ripe banana
150g of natural Greek yogurt
2 eggs
150g flour
100g almond meal
1/2tsp bicarbonate of soda
Preparation instructions in the video.
Bake the date bread in 180 C at the middle shelf of the oven for 50-60 minutes. Check with a toothpick if the bread is baked through. Let cool for about half an hour before removing from the tin. Serve chilled or cool.
