It is important to focus on snacks that strengthen immune system so that your immune system doesn’t weaken and leave you susceptible to catch a cold or the flu. Snack #1: Avocado crackers/toast
Avocados make really easy healthy food snacks. They can be easily mashed up and spread on crackers and toast. For added flavor you can top it with salt and black pepper.
Avocados are filled with many nutrients that will strengthen immune system and help your body fight off colds. Yogurt parfaits are a great option for a healthy snack that doesn’t take long to prepare and helps boost your immune system. They can be prepared in batched before hand and only require Greek yogurt, frozen berries of your choice and granola. Yogurt is a great food filled with lots of protein and calcium which our bodies need for many functions Its immune boosting properties come from the probiotics and vitamin D that is often found in yogurt. Probiotics help reduce harmful bacteria in the digestive tract which leads to better digestion and overall immunity.

Snack #3 – Spiced Nuts
Spiced nuts are great because they can be customized and spiced to your personal preferences and easily taken with you on the go to provide a quick and easy health boost throughout the day. Nuts such as pecans, almonds, and cashews are really great for this. To make them toss your choice of nuts with small amounts of chili powder, black pepper, and a pinch of cayenne. Roast the nuts in the oven for 10 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit until they are nice and toasty. Feel free to experiment with other nuts and spices.
