Hii friends…Today I m here with a main course recipe prepared from chayote – Chow Chow Rotti.
Chow Chow or Chayote is actually a fruit that is used as a vegetable. it is also called vegetable pear, alligator pear, seeme badnekay and mango squash. Chayote is a popular ingredient in a variety of Mexican, Indian and Latin American dishes. Chayote is low in calories and full of vitamins and other nutrients. Its health benefits are many. Its a rich source of dietary fiber which aids weight loss, also a rich source of vitamin C and trace minerals like zinc, magnesium, calcium, phosphorous and potassium.
