hello today we are talking about making
your meal prepping your meal planning
easier everyone wonders how they can
make meal times easier and so we’re
going to talk about that today now these
are coming out of our dining on a dime
cookbooks
volume one and volume two 50% off right

Day now the first tip
is this people are going to say well
this doesn’t have anything to do with
meal prepping yes it does let me tell
you if your kitchen looks like
this you are not going to be wanting to
cook meals so you have to get your
kitchen organized you have to get your
kitchen cabinets organized you have to
keep your dishes out of the sink you are
not going to be able to efficiently prep
meals when you have kitchen that is
looking like this you don’t have room to
do anything you can’t find anything
nothing is
clean and so the first step is to get
your kitchen cabinets organized get your
dishes organized declutter and get rid
of everything you need if you’re a twers
family and you have 20 plates in your
cabinet something is wrong it’s fine to
keep those plates in another spot in
your house if you don’t have the room in
your kitchen if you have the room in
your kitchen that’s fine but if you
don’t have room in your kitchen move
those extra plates extra cups extra
bowls everything for those special
occasions somewhere else the yes Vicky
says a clean kitchen is the very first
step to meal planning or prepping yes
exactly there’s just no way you can even
physically do it the next thing is plan
your meals around what’s on sale for the
week now this goes into the money saving
but I don’t just go to the store and
just buy what I feel like eating this
week I have never ever done that I’ve
never just gone to the store and just
thought oh what do I feel like eating
today and just start buying stuff off
the shelves I don’t do
that I keep my pantry stocked with what
is on
sale and I
shop for food in my pantry in my freezer
and my refrigerator and then I decide
what meals I’m making so tonight I got
bacon on sale for
$297 cents for um a package 12 ounces
which it hasn’t been on sale for almost
a year here so I stocked up on bacon and
tonight we had BLTs
so that cost me I did cook two packages
of well about one and a half packages of
bacon and so that cost me about
five six cost me
$6 to feed four of us for
dinner I know grocery prices are really
going up
but if you’re shopping correctly they do
not have to I saw this I saw this mean
the other day where a lady was saying oh
$4.97 for beef tenderloin you’re not
buying beef tenderloin stop it just stop
it like this week here’s a here’s a
really good example this
week our grocery store here’s where I
got the bacon this one was $2.99 the
other store had
297 but what I would do is this week we
would be if I needed meat we would be
buying pork chop for
$1.99 we would be getting chicken thighs
or drumsticks for $49 5 pounds of
potatoes I did get two bags of potatoes
there and so by
going and keeping these things stocked
in your refrigerator and your freezer
keeping your Freez freezer stocked and
your pantry stocked you’re able to just
run in and really quickly get
meals uh oh did somebody say something
no oh okay
um the next listening with baited breath
oh you’re listening with baited
breath the next thing is you’re
precooking your meals so let’s say I
make chili one night it takes the same
amount of time to make a big batch of
chili as it does a regular batch of
chili so make your chili have chili with
crackers one
night the next night have chili
dogs the next night have chili on top of
baked
potatoes another night you know how they
used to do the poop on a
shingle you could have chili on top of
toast for that for another
night so cook one meat that’ll stretch
several meals when I make
roast
I do um roast the first night beef and
noodles is the second night fajitas is
the third night beef stew the fourth
night and if it’s big enough you know
you can just go for however many meals
you want so guys type one if you precook
your meals and type two if you don’t I’m
really curious where everyone stands on
this because a lot of people really
don’t like
leftovers but we don’t call them
leftovers um um oh Melissa I forgot we
got bananas in the house I should have
Mike go get the mayonnaise and
bananas and I should try that tonight I
totally forgot about
it oh wow see I’m totally shocked how
many people don’t pre-cook their meals
wow that’s crazy I would say
there’s don’t precooked meals yeah equal
parts one and
two oh my goodness when you see PR
cooking what are you saying like I make
a roast and use it for three or four
minutes oh I see yes
yes the next thing
is cut up your fruits and vegetables as
you go
so back to my example with the meat I
don’t spend all day Sunday prepping my
meals for the week Monday I’ll make
fajitas and I’ll cut
up um I’ll cut up my peppers and my
onions
and I’ll cut double or
triple so that let’s say the next night
if I have f one night with my roast then
the next night I’ll have just roast or
let’s say the first night I’ll have
roast and I’ll serve cut up
peppers with um with the roast for a
vegetable the onion part of the onion
will go in with the roast to cook so
I’ll have onions and peppers for my
vegetable then the next night we’ll have
fajitas so I’ll already have my onions
and peppers cut
up but I’m not
spending all day Sunday or all day
Saturday doing this like I’ll just
pre-plan like just the next day or two
days so for my fruits and vegetables I’m
not just spending all day cutting and
all that type of thing now if it works
for you to do that that’s fine you
can but I don’t have that amount of
energy the next is to keep a master list
of
menus have 10 spring and summer and 10
fall and winter menus
that you just rotate
through and you
can keep those same 10 menus and then
just add in new
ones as
you
want but you always have those 10 to go
to that you cook out of your freezer or
your pantry and then I always just keep
those ingredients on hand so like
tonight we had BLTs so I had everything
on hand so that’s what we
had all right guys post your comments

in the comment section and Mike will get
them to me in just a

um don’t overwhelm yourself and think
that you have to pre-plan two weeks
worth of menus like I’ll see these
YouTubers and they’ll plan a whole month
of menus or they’ll plan two weeks of
menus if that system is already working
for you that’s fine but if you look at
those people and think those people are
out of their minds there’s no way I
could do
that it’s okay you don’t have to do that
you can just go back to my
10 basic meals that you always have and
do that
now if you guys need some meal ideas
dining on a Time cookbook volume 1 page
11 12 13 14 15 and then 16 is where you
can do your
own we have five pages of already
pre-written
menus using the recipes in our cookbook
okay all right now the next way to make
meal planning easier
is you can do um
if this helps you can have like Monday
is Italian night Tuesday casserole
Wednesday’s Mexican Thursday’s leftovers
Friday they go out to eat or have every
man for himself or have pizza night
Saturday have a super stew or in the
summer in the winter you could have
super stew and in the winter in the
summer you can
Grill Sunday have a crock pot or an easy
sheet pant dinner that you can put in
the oven before church or something like
that
um the next thing
is get in the habit of pulling out the
meat that you’re going to use for the
next
day out of the freezer get that pulled
out the night
before and so it can be defrosting and
in the morning if it’s not
defrosted get it pulled out onto the
counter so that it can
continue defrosting on the
counter guys meal prepping and meal
planning does not have to be difficult
people make it way more difficult than
it needs to

that I’m cooking through my cookbook boo
says I did once a month cookie years ago
but that was overwhelming I cook and
freeze chicken and ground Meats instead
I also use my crock pot three times a
week year round to save my sanity very
good yes that’s what I do I will cook
five pounds of hamburger package it up
then I don’t have to cook my
beef when I’m ready for tacos or
whatever I just throw it in with some
taco seasoning get it warmed up and
we’re good to go

be going up she said at Walmart today
regular ground beef was $7.49 a pound
extra lean $8.99 Safeway sale price on
extra lean was $55.99 increase is
starting yeah so that would be about
$430 here in the US for extra lean so
that’s not horrid
yet but it is going
up so I would definitely be stocking up
on beef guys I’ve had several ranchers
Bounty the Badlands is a Rancher and so
she’s in Canada
but I’ve had several ranchers in the US
tell me the same
thing CC’s Garden just want say I like
the countdown timer give me a little
slack on getting here
good well we were having a problem with
people wanting me to go back and repeat
everything and I’m like just start it at
the beginning of the video and watch it
but they want to you know they want me
to be on there talking to them at that
time so I can see why but I can’t just
keep starting the video over again so
that’s why we didn’t Kathy got her
signed cookbook in only four days very
excited that is great awesome that’s I
can’t believe the shipping is going so
fast I mean we ship it the next day but
the post office I’m
surprised but I’m glad it’s great to
know people are getting the books DB
just wanted to say I received my set of
three cookbooks today they are great
quality and packaged individually fast
delivery also very happy with them thank

Dessert Lady me and my family members
have all your cookbooks great recipes
and loving these long lives thank you so
much edifying I spend 30 minutes once a
week prepping our produce a veggie tray
is an easy side Yes actually I pretty
much have a veggie tray almost every day
dinner I I go through spurts so
like I would have a veggie tray every
dinner carrots celery
broccoli um snow peas whatever and I
would just put those out and that’s what
we’d eat and then now I’m kind of in the
Frozen
vegetable cycle of our life where I’m
just heating up a bag of frozen
cauliflower frozen
broccoli mix vegetables whatever and
we’re having those so keep your
vegetables easy guys it does not have to
be a huge ordeal just some butter and
some seasoning on there and you’re good
to
go pen oh score in the bacon I just got
12 ounces for 3.99 which for us is still
okay so I got four well that’s good they
also had potatoes for 30 cents a pound
limit 20 pounds wow that’s great in San
Francisco yeah that would be good
Crystal excuse me crystal thank you tar
and Mike I appreciate you thank you so
much Melissa wasn’t expecting to receive
a planner until Tuesday but it came
Saturday yay and she’s in North
Carolina wow so the only thing I can
think of which I mean I’m really glad
that um I’m really glad that you guys
are getting your planners or I mean
getting your books so quickly the only
thing I can think of is they aren’t
doing mail in Wyoming anymore so now our
male I think goes to
Billings and they cut the mail sorting
Center here in Wyoming and so maybe
there’s something with going to Billings
that’s getting stuff there quicker so I
guess that’s a good thing for us
so oh vintage believer says chili on mac
and cheese that’s a really good idea I’m
gonna have to write that down because I
think I’m going to do a
video
on Chile

you make yeah but I don’t make anything
you don’t like

yep Karen I made the carrot cake and the
enchiladas and both were delicious I
used my own homemade chicken broth and
Chicken on left over from whole chickens
both are requested to be made again soon
good yeah if you guys want a really
good um chicken recipe and chicken broth
dining on Dy volume one our enchiladas
are really good and our carrot cake is
also very good in volume
two Lori says love the macaroni and
tomatoes recipe in the original cookbook
surprisingly delicious it is isn’t it

and we have the same thing the next day
but I don’t cook for more than that yeah
that’s I mean two days is good enough I
totally get that Lorraine we love
leftovers and I make mini meals and free
ahead for later on

meat meatloaf all at once eat it on a
few meals
yep edify says chili freezes really well
if your family won’t eat it three days

add to my meals also guys use pre

video seeing if they are way more
expensive than cutting it yourself or
not because I think they’re about
equivalent to be the same price they

sorry please forgive me for having
prejudice against Southern taste
buds that is not good at all okay now
I’m eating a regular banana to get the
taste out
well that was a good that was a really
bad waste of calories for the day banana
and peanut butter You’ probably like
that wouldn’t
you ban banana by itself and peanut
butter without the mail CU isn’t that
like a
dessert oh shoot well I didn’t try just

videos for music that we’ve used
correctly that were in the YouTube
library and now they’re flagging us I
was wondering if you’re hiding the same
problem too they’re old videos okay wow
I don’t know guys okay not a big fan of
the banana that recipe will not be in
our D time good books but you guys want
a really good banana bread recipe volume

delicious I can hardly imagine although
there are some things like that that I
didn’t like that I haven’t tried but
something’s like that where I didn’t
like it and then I tried it again I

sauce that is it that white barbecue
sauce I didn’t like it at first and the
more I have it the more I like
it I don’t know okay look at her face

like um yeah I could do tomato and

we did we did do all that for the music
I don’t know what’s going on we’re

Elvis thing is a peanut butter and
banana grilled like a grilled cheese oh
my goodness the poor man was on a lot of
medication

okay oh it’s because I was distracted by
looking at the expression on your face
when you’re eating bananas and M oh did
I have an expression even before you put
it in your mouth you’re like well it was
smelling the mayonnaise mixed with
banana
smell made me wonder if I was pregnant
oh my goodness
okay biggy I’m I’m tougher than her she
could not have put that mixture of stuff
towards her
lips it was it was definitely
interesting oh Kimmy doesn’t like
Dukes Kimmy how can
you uh oh is that the mail
nail yeah we thought we missed the mail
this morning Teresa she likes to make
homemade TV dinners sometimes I work 12
hours and doing it this way saves time
money yes it does that is a great idea

freeze some and then another week we’ll
pull out the Frozen very good yes

yes and guys all of those if you need

volume one sonas scrambled up two dozen
eggs right here scrambled eggs if you
need to know how to make them that was
our number one video during that thing
going around was nobody knew how to make
scrambled eggs yeah we reheated and ate
on them for the past two days now making
breakfast tacos very good that is a
great idea Dessert Lady you’re putting
all these comments in aren’t you Dessert

Tanya we are getting a freezer I don’t
know what a good brand is and what to
stay away from oh man I don’t know
pretty much they’re all now none of them
are made in the US that I know of and I
don’t think in our video pistol talked
about Standalone freezers I do know that
chest freezers are technically better
than standing freezers but I hate chest
freezers I will only do a standing one
because it um is just so much easier to
use Janet oh wow I like the idea of
making each night specific meal type yes
that is a great I mean in 70s and 80s
that was really really popular and
people don’t do that as much anymore

cookbooks how did you find out you were
needed to be gluten-free and dairyfree
uh Jim wants to know so I have a blood
test that says that I am gluten
intolerant and then the dairy test I did
a prick test on my back for
allergies and dairy came up also I
eliminated those
foods and I felt much better after
eliminating those
foods and then when I went to go put
them back in I got really swollen and
was sick to my stomach and that kind of
thing
so Johnny I use my bread machine to make
cakes because I don’t have a stove
that’s a great idea it does a good job
just in the shape of a loaf bread that
is a great idea I’m gonna have to man
you guys are giving me some good video
ideas okay so Johnny

cake in bread machine I’m GNA try that
and see how it goes for a video that’s a
good idea be interesting to try hula I
cook a big V of tomato sauce and freeze
and also make chicken Parmesan meatballs
eggplant Parmesan and freeze to dinners
with homemade tomato sauce yes I am
doing that right now with my tay
Tomatoes left over from last year’s
Garden trying to get them out of the
freezer and get them used up we don’t
really use tomato sauce that much so I’m
trying to do more of it because somebody
doesn’t eat tomatoes that much
so I like them chopped up
on salads or tacos but like whole
Tomatoes just take over the taste of
everything it’s like pouring two drops
of Dr Pepper into any other soda it’ll
taste like Dr

vegetarian I actually went through and
counted there are 40 recipes that use
meat so if they still eat eggs and dairy
because they’re vegetarian and not vegan
then they can more than easily use this
but if they are
vegan then they could use the
gluten-free dairyfree Edition and just
exchange the the gluten-free flour for
regular flour if that’s what they want
if that’s what they want to do Dessert
Lady my daughter-in-law she bought her
daughter-in-law the gluten free cookbook

ice was just tearing up the blenders so
I finally got a Blend Tech and now we’ve
H we’ve had that 10 years

draining out of my ear it’s really weird
but it’s not aching all the time but
like last night I was up for two hours
waiting for the ibuprofen to kick in
because it was hurting so

tooth that they said they’re

this place said there’s a hole in that
tooth so and that was the the old place
was like November so I think the ho
would have been there then
too well and yeah Grandma so or Russ
also said says he had horrible pain so
that’s the same problem mom had was she
thought she had a sinus infection and
she went to the dentist and they filed
her tooth down and she was grinding it
and it was giving her really bad pain
and they just took a little tiny bit off
and it went away Grandma so happy says
what color is the Green in your kitchen
cabinets so pretty so I don’t know but I
think it’s
Walmart’s milk pod I think is what it is
you can send me the next one um I’m not
sure sounds like maybe have some fluid
trp by some earwax maybe maybe that
could be what it
is here do I have ear wax stuck in my
ear can we get the little camera and
poke it in there and do a ear wax
removal camera thing I need a one of
those big things that the doctor used to
have that flips over your eye can we do
that so now what’s gonna happen is on
YouTube all the ear wax cleaning videos
are going to come out

sitting there talking with the kids

doing nothing and then I finally went to
sleep and then I finally woke up and was
trying to decide if I should get out of
bed and then I went and sat in my chair
and drank my tea because I couldn’t wake
up
that is pretty much it oh I haven’t been
doing much lately Wanda she hasn’t been
feeling very good lately no I’m having
golden mushroom soup is gravy roast an
applewood bacon instant mashed potatoes
and a vegetable yum

is affecting my ear because we went to
Billings the other day and when we went
up in elevation just I mean it’s not a
huge jumping elevation it’s only like
500 or a th000 feet at one point and
it’s my ear started hurting and then
when we came back down it was fine Sonia

this video and no people can’t see it
anymore because it has adult content in
it and you’re supposed to De you’re
supposed to declare your adult content
and I was like I don’t know what you’re
talking about so I I that was on
Pinterest oh it was on Pinterest Sorry

doing the same thing but on Pinterest
yeah so I I had to avert my eyes and
click the link to see what uh I I knew
for sure it was

would be possible if somebody hacked
something or whatever for that to happen
so I it turned out it was a picture of
Jar mixes I’m like so I clicked the
dispute button and it went away so I
think just the robot misunderstands
something and if you dispute it that can

color for walls in the house I keep mine
white because I don’t know what to do

Vicki said we painted all our walls
except the bedroom medium tan
color so it just depends on what you
like so like for me my first house every
single room was a different color and
our last two houses my living room was
yellow my kitchen was green my bath one
bathroom was um purple my bedroom was
blue and so I had every color under the
rainbow at my last house they were nice
but this house what I’m doing is I I’m
wanting everything white and then I’m
doing accents with my curtains and my
furniture and my decorations so I want a
white background to to Showcase all of
my stuff so it just kind of depends on
your preference and here’s what I do I
don’t have any special talent or
anything I just go on Pinterest and I
just Google yellow kitchen just to see
what they look like if I think hm what
would a yellow kitchen look
like and so then I look at all the ideas
green kit kitchen that’s what I do I
watch YouTubers like me where I
decorated my kitchen where it’s green
cabinets and um yellow accents with
white walls and I just found some
pictures that I liked and I just copied
the
colors for my kitchen so that’s what I
would do is just go look for ideas on um
Pinterest uh Wanda Tara know I still
have mice I don’t think I’ll ever get
rid of them totally due to the age of
the mobile home and the dog doesn’t eat
her food right away oh oh man you need
our son’s cat yeah you need our son’s
cat she says she’s a little assassin she
just yeah she doesn’t play with them
like other cats do she just massacr them

tonight I don’t know hey the one thing
on the paint that Tara was talking about
it’s the shade of the colors that she
finds I guess that that because the
purple was a sort of a light purple like
a perrywinkle kind ofle purple and it
was really nice and uh the
greens uh well they’re similar to this
green back here different kinds of
greens that she’s painted in the house
our bedroom was a lighter blue color
right like yeah uh but it was a light
blue color I think the darker colors are
a little harder to pull off but she’s
done that sometimes gotten them to be
really nice too so yeah there were I
have to say that
she got the idea to want to paint colors
as soon as we bought our first house and
actually after having I was really
hesitant I thought what rooms are
supposed to be white because I didn’t
know any different and uh wow it turned
out really nice all the there was only
one time that there was anything that
wasn’t quite what it should have been
it’s that she painted the ceiling yeah
that was the first time I ever tried
painting rooms and I painted the ceiling
the same brown and green as the walls
then it was was just too dark but yeah
well because it was Forest Green in our
bedroom at the time and then with that
on the ceiling it was really really dark
and Kimmy say the gray is the new white
yeah I don’t like gray I hate gray but
Kimmy’s house if you guys watch her
videos I like it in your house I think
it’s really pretty but I don’t know I
just have this thing for gray I don’t
know why kenth says oh we’re like
visiting with family so which one of us
is the black sheep that’s funny
what are breakfast tacos do you put meat
with eggs so it’s like sausage eggs
cheese onions Peppers all rolled into a
corn tortilla or a flow tortilla if you
want to make a burrito grandma’s so

let me paint the walls gray he told me
he saw too much gray on the naval ships
yeah I think for me that’s kind of I

think I’ve never lived in a house that
had gray walls I don’t know why I think
that but like I look at Kimmy’s house
and I think oh well that’s really
pretty but I don’t know where I got that
from for me it’s just it looks kind of
dirty or a lot of times gray and of
course t d probably I didn’t know it
drove you nuts I thought you and I were
bonding over it together but what I’ve
been putting a lot of bright light in
our houses the last well it’s the paint
because it’s this
ugly it’s this well it looks like peanut
butter what does the walls in the house
oh is that what it is and so if you can
imagine this is all over our house I’m
like so I guess maybe just to perk
myself up I need to just start painting
the entire house
how’s that sound okay I’ll at the
library let me know how it’s going I’ll
tell Brad in exchange for all the paint
that I want I’ll do
some some uh painting videos for
Habitat actually that doesn’t even come

gray is gloomy yeah a lot of gray colors
are but there’s a lot if you get the
right color Grays they’re not gloomy
they’re they’re really pretty Prett I
haven’t seen Kimmy’s her new house right
yeah I haven’t seen that that but some
things like the Grays can look really
good depending on what shade it is and
how they trim it what kind of places it
is because one of the things is you
don’t have to paint a color on the
entire room well here cars painted just
one wall sometimes certain color like
I’ll do accent walls too oh Kimmy I’m
sorry I’m not running the ads here okay

but see she has white cabinets and white
trim and that makes all the difference
we have brown trim and so then I’d have
to paint all the trim also not that the
gray is real bright gray it’s just and
it contrasts the white yeah trim and
stuff just enough that so because she
has the white trim it looks really good
but for us we have all this wood trim
and I don’t really feel like painting
all the wood trim white so if you need
to see that a little closer it’s she’s
in her apron on YouTube go look at
because no kimm’s Kimmy’s stuff looks
really nice I
mean I I don’t know I’m impressed oh she
says but my shade of gray with light
blue it’s so pretty then she says if you
have wood trim it makes it harder yep
yeah so I think it just depends on the
colors of your
cabinets and let’s see here’s another

decorations look really nice with the
gray but everything else her walls and
or I mean her her doors and her uh trim
and all that is white so that’s where
the difference is I love that little
cabinet back there with little
decorations on it and stuff it looks

decorative oh well it’s a I think it’s a
I don’t know H so anyway
I’m not like against gray or anything I
think just think for my stuff it it
wouldn’t do very good
but um anyway yeah wood does make it
