In this video, I want to answer the question, “will skipping meals spike your metabolism?” We’re going to talk about infrequent meals and metabolism, as well as a low-calorie diet and metabolism. I also want to give you a few great metabolism tips.

Skipping a meal and being on a low-calorie diet are two different things. When you decrease your frequency of meals (infrequent eating, intermittent fasting), you will probably reduce your calories automatically. But, when you reduce your calories and you reduce your frequency of meals, you’re not going to feel too great.

Healthy Keto and Intermittent Fasting

• If you do the ketogenic diet (low-carb) and intermittent fasting gradually, your hunger goes away. You’re burning your own fat.

• When you decrease the meals, you’re decreasing insulin, and you’re increasing your metabolic rate.

• With keto and intermittent fasting, you won’t have a lot of blood sugar issues.

• With keto and intermittent fasting, you will feel good.

A Low-Calorie Diet

• If you keep your frequency of meals higher and have low-calorie meals, it will be difficult to get your body to switch to fat burning.

• With a low-calorie diet, you could still have a lot of blood sugar issues.

• If you try to reduce your calories you will be hungry, and you won’t feel too great.

Many people want to know how to boost metabolism. But, a lot of the different ways to increase metabolism that are popular right now are very trivial.

Things that really affect metabolism:

1. Age
2. Dieting
3. Diet as an Infant
4. Insulin
5. Cortisol

Instead of cutting calories, try intermittent fasting. You’ll notice a lot more weight loss.
