I’m all for quick and easy healthy tips for me and my family! In this video, I share my SUPER EASY nutrition hack by sharing how I make a “lighter” version of garlic bread.

“Lighter” Garlic Bread Recipe:

1 Loaf of French bread (you can use white or whole grain bread)

2-2.5 TB Light Butter (my favorite kind is Land O Lakes light butter)

0.5 – 1 TB dried Parsley

~1/8 tsp garlic powder

A couple notes on the recipe:

1. If my store had a whole grain loaf, I would have used that. I’m all for finding easy ways to incorporate whole grains without compromising on taste. Since we are adding fat, salt, and herbs to this bread, it may make whole grain bread more appealing or taste better to some – especially if you have picky whole grain eaters in your house.

2. You can use butter, light butter, or margarine. Whichever you prefer. I like light butter because it has less saturated fat and contains healthier fats than margarine and butter.

3. You can use garlic salt instead of garlic powder if you want. But it will just take a tiny pinch of garlic salt. A little bit goes a LONG way.

4. You could add any Italian herb blend if you want too, I just use parsley because it’s easy and I always have it on hand.
