Healthy Kadhi Pakoda (Recipe β¬οΈ)

π₯ Ingredients
For Kadhi
β’ Β½ cup besan (gram flour)
β’ 1 cup dahi (curd)
β’ Β½ tsp turmeric
β’ Β½ tsp red chilli powder
β’ 3 cups water
β’ 1 tsp salt
β’ 1 tsp kasuri methi
β’ 1 tbsp ghee
β’ 1 tsp jeera
β’ Handful curry leaves (kadhipatta)
β’ Β½ tsp methi dana
β’ 1 tsp coriander seeds
For Protein Pakoda
β’ 150g soaked yellow moong dal
β’ 2 green chillies
β’ Β½ tsp salt
β’ ΒΌ tsp black pepper
β’ A pinch baking soda
β’ Few drops oil for paniyaram pan
For Tadka
β’ 1 tsp ghee
β’ Β½ tsp rai
β’ 2 dry red chillies
β’ Β½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
β’ Few curry leaves

π² Recipe
1. Whisk besan, dahi, turmeric, chilli powder & water into a smooth kadhi batter.
2. Heat ghee, add jeera, methi dana, coriander seeds & curry leaves. SautΓ©, then pour in kadhi mixture. Season with salt & kasuri methi. Let it simmer.
3. For pakodas, blend soaked moong dal with green chillies, salt, pepper & baking soda. Spoon batter into paniyaram pan, cook both sides till golden.
4. Add pakodas into simmering kadhi.
5. Prepare tadka with ghee, rai, dry chillies, Kashmiri red chilli powder & curry leaves. Pour on top.
