Healthy Hot Chocolate Detailed Recipe

Ingredients (1–2 servings)
• Makhana (fox nuts): 1 handful (about ½ cup)
• Almonds (badaam): 6–7 pieces
• Cashews: 5–6 pieces
• Dates: 3 (seedless)
• Cocoa powder: 1 tablespoon
• Warm milk: ½ cup (to soak the mixture)
• Chocolate: 2–3 small pieces (dark or milk, as per preference)
• Milk: 1 glass (approx. 250 ml)
• Extra chocolate: 1–2 pieces (for melting into the boil)

Method

Step 1: Prepare the Nut & Cocoa Base
1. Take a medium bowl and add:
• 1 handful of makhana
• Almonds, cashews
• 3 dates
• 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
• Warm milk (½ cup)
• 2–3 pieces of chocolate
2. Mix everything properly so the warm milk softens the nuts and dates.

Step 2: Rest the Mixture
3. Keep the bowl aside for 5 minutes.
This helps:
• Dates soften
• Chocolate melts slightly
• Makhana absorbs moisture

Step 3: Blend it Smooth
4. Transfer the mixture to a blender.
5. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
This forms the thick base of your healthy hot chocolate.

Step 4: Cook the Hot Chocolate
6. Pour 1 glass of milk (250 ml) into a pan.
7. Add the blended mixture into the pan.
8. Cook on medium flame for 5 minutes, stirring continuously so it doesn’t stick.

Step 5: Add More Chocolate
9. Add 1–2 extra pieces of chocolate to the pan.
10. Stir until fully melted and the drink becomes thick and silky.

Step 6: Serve
11. Once the mixture reaches your desired thickness, turn off the flame.
12. Pour into a mug.
13. Garnish with chopped almonds and grated chocolate on top.
