Kala chana vegetable biryani
Ingredients
2 tbsp groundnut oil
1 tsp ghee
2 bay leaves
3 sliced onion
To grind
1 handful of mint leaves
6 green chillies
3 medium tomato roughly chopped
3 (1 inch) cinnamon
5 cloves
2 cardamom. Grind everything to a fine paste.
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
21/4 cup rice ( 1 cup – 200g rice)
41/2 cup water
Required salt
1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
Pressure cook for 6 whistles. Tasty chana vegetable biryani is ready for serving.
Beetroot thogaiyal
Ingredients
1 tsp groundnut oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander seeds
4 green chillies
2 red chillies
1 medium size onion roughly chopped
4 garlic
1inch tamarind
2 medium size beetroot peeled and chopped
3 tbsp grated coconut. Saute everything until it’s done. Allow it to cool down.
Grind it to a fine paste by adding little water. Tasty beetroot thogaiyal is ready to be served.
