Check out this ancient recipe for making a very simple unleavened flatbread! It’s so easy to make and just requires a few ingredients. Very kid friendly…my kids love this bread and easy way to sneak in some vegetables!
Ingredients:
– 1 cup of flour
– 1 cup of mashed root veggie or squash (sweet potato, carrot, pumpkin, butternut squash etc)
– 1 tsp of salt
Optional: 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp clove (totally optional but I used in this particular recipe)
Directions: Mix all ingredients together until a nice dough is formed. Divide into 5/6 dough balls. Using floured surface roll out to around 1/8″ thick (does not need to be a perfect circle). Place onto heated pan and cook 1-2 minutes per side. Enjoy!
