Crispy Sooji Potato Bytes Recipe
Ingredients
½ tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp green chilies (finely chopped)
2 tsp oregano
2 tsp chilli flakes
½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
½ cup suji (semolina)
½ cup boiled potato (mashed)
1 cup water
Peri peri masala (for sprinkling)
Method
Heat a pan and add a little oil.
Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add minced garlic and green chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
Add oregano, chilli flakes, and salt. Mix well.
Pour in 1 cup water and when it gets heated,add suji and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
Cook until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool completely.
Add mashed boiled potato and mix well to form a soft dough.
Shape into small bites or balls.
Sprinkle peri peri masala.
They’re crunchy on the outside, soft inside, and perfect for evening tea. Serve them hot.
