This is such an easy, quick bread recipe. For me I get annoyed when I fancy bread with a meal but know it takes at least a couple of hours until its risen and ready for the oven. This bread takes about 5 minutes to prepare and 25-30 minutes in the oven. It’s crispy and full of flavour, great with peanut butter, humus or on its own.
Ingredients
250g spelt flour
5g fast acting yeast
Generous pinch of sea salt
30g sunflower seeds
30g chia seeds
30g shelled hemp seeds
200ml warm water
Add all the dry ingredients to a mixing bowl. Lastly add the warm water and mix together with a wooden spoon. Once the dough forms use your hands to mix the dough together. Do this for around one minute. Add dough to a greased/lined medium loaf tin and pop straight in the oven at 190oC/374oF. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Let loaf cool for a few minutes in a wire rack. Serve warm or cold.
