I replaced chickpeas with black Chickpeas (Indian black chana). By doing so, I effectively reduced calories intake 5 folds since 1 cup of Chickpeas equals apprx 5 cups of Black Chana! Black chana is very high in protein and iron among other things!

It is a very low calorie alternative which tastes amazing if not better than white chickpeas hummus!

You can skip olive oil and use spray instead but hey, extra virgin Olive oil is really good anyway!!
