I made Vinaigrette Salad Dressing for the “retail” trade for a long time and many said they were the best bottled dressings around. If you want to make your own and not refrigerate it, take a look at this video. I was lucky enough to learn a lot from the Dept of Agriculture on “how to do it” without adding weird ingredients you can’t read without being a scientist. These dressings are pretty straight forward, and if anything at least watch the beginning as I tell you how to get garlic into the dressing and still be able to not refrigerate.
One of the easiest, no garlic salad dressings, not really a “vinaigrette”, I had to add as it’s so good and very very simple. Braggs Liquid Aminos…Buy it in a spray bottle first, then you should buy in quart containers. It’s available in more and more stores, if nothing else, health food stores for sure…tastes like soy sauce without the salt…
So many variations….try buying different vinegars to change the dressing up a bit. If you have an apple orchard near you, ask if they make apple cider vinegar. It will probably be nothing like commercial vinegar. You could also message Johnston Fruit Farm, and Orchard in Swanton, OH. They make great AC Vinegar. Drops is all you need.
Some uses for the different vinaigrette dressing are sandiwches, instead of mayonnaise, potato salads, pasta salads, bean salads, any kind of vegetable, and as marinades.
Give them a whirl. You will never buy another one in the store again!
