A Massachusetts man has pleaded guilty to threatening to bomb an FBI office and carry out a mass stabbing at a grocery store, according to prosecutors. He also threatened to kill two police officers in Tennessee.
Luke Brissie, 24, of Amherst, Massachusetts, pleaded guilty on Monday in federal court in Springfield to one count of interstate transmission of threatening communications, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts announced on Friday. His sentencing is scheduled for January 5, 2027.
The threats were sent through Instagram to a Metropolitan Nashville Police Department officer on April 5, 2025. The messages targeted the officer, another Nashville officer and locations in Massachusetts.
“I will put a bomb in your police car or better yet your house,” one message read. Others threatened a mass stabbing at a Big Y grocery store near his home and an attack on an FBI building.

Authorities determined that Brissie intended to lure the officer to Massachusetts to carry out the threatened violence. They also learned that the FBI Boston Field Office was the intended bombing target, prosecutors said.
Brissie was arrested at his Amherst home in June 2025 after the threats were reported. He faces up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.
