Looking for a Healthy lunch idea for your work week? You will love this easy recipe showing you how to make a deli style turkey sandwich. We all love those fancy gourmet sandwiches so popular for work week lunchtime. But it’s so easy to buy ingredients and pack your own sandwich to take with you. It’s healthier, because you know exactly what you’re putting into the sandwich.

I recommend going to the deli counter in your grocery store, and have them slice as thinly as possible your favorite meat. I selected turkey, but you could have roast beef or chicken or ham. I have only tested the Raspberry Preserves with peppered turkey, and that’s what I’m showing you here. I also used hot mustard, so I think the spicy turkey with the hot mustard balances out well with the light sweet of the jam. Adding a mild cheese and crispy lettuce tops off this delicious deli style turkey sandwich! If you’re looking to save money and calories, making your own lunch is the only way to go!

The Recipe:

Thin sliced deli turkey
Thin sliced deli baby swiss cheese
couple leaves of Romaine lettuce
Spicy mustard (I like Dijon)
Raspberry Preserves (Grandma Hoerner’s sent me this jar to try out and it’s DELICIOUS)

Grandma Hoerner’s sent me this jar of preserves to try out, so this is technically a sponsored video. But it’s so good, I will buy it again with my own money.
