Unakkalari is a kind of raw rice without removing the rice bran. 
Traditionally, unakkalari is known for its nutritious contents and disease-preventing qualities. The presence of rice bran in unakkalari increases the nutritious benefits. The reddish brown colour of this rice is due to the presence of rice bran. It is considered to be a rich source of antioxidants, vitamins and fatty acids. 

Ingredients
Unakkalari – 1 3/4 glass
Coconut grated- 1 1/2 glass
Jeera – 1 tbsp
Salt
Coconut oil
Water

Method
Soak this red raw rice / unakkalari for 3 to 4 hrs.
Now grind this soaked rice, grated coconut & jeera to a dosa batter consistency.
Can prepare this dosa immediately after grinding… No need to be fermented…
Add salt to the batter & prepare dosa to medium thickness.
For preparing dosa use coconut oil as it enhances the taste.
Try to Serve hot as this dosas get harder as it cools down.
Serve with jaggery or mulaku
chammanthi or any of your choice..
