“Food insecurity continues to affect thousands of families, seniors, veterans, and children across the communities we serve,” said Jason Reed, President and CEO of United Food Bank. “This investment strengthens our ability to provide reliable access to nutritious food and positions United Food Bank to meet community needs for years to come.”
United Food Bank recognizes the critical role of state leaders whose partnership and advocacy made this state‑budget funding possible.
“We are especially grateful to Senator Sears, Representative Austin, House Assistant Minority Leader Nancy Gutierrez, and former Representative David Marshall for their leadership and advocacy throughout this process,” Reed said. “We also appreciate the support of legislative leaders, members of the Arizona Legislature, and other state partners who recognize the importance of strengthening Arizona’s hunger relief network and addressing food insecurity across our state.”
As demand for food assistance remains elevated, investments in food bank facilities and operational capacity play a critical role in ensuring food can be efficiently sourced, stored, and distributed to communities in need. The funding reflects a shared commitment among public officials, nonprofit organizations, community partners, and supporters to building a stronger hunger relief system throughout Arizona.
“Addressing hunger requires collaboration,” Reed said. “We are grateful for the partnership of public leaders, volunteers, donors, and community supporters who help make our mission possible every day.”
