Lobiya soup
Ingredients Quantity
Refined Oil 1 tsp.
Chopped Ginger 1 tsp.
Chopped Garlic 1 tsp.
Chopped Green Chilli 1 nos.
Chopped Carrot 1 small
Chopped Cabbage 1 tbsp.
Chopped Onion ½ onion
Boiled Lobiya Stock 1 Cup
Boiled Lobiya (blended) 2 tbsp.
Turmeric ¼ tsp.
Red Chilli powder ¼ tsp.
Garam Masala ¼ tsp.
Black Pepper ¼ tsp.
Salt to taste
Corn-starch (dissolve in water) 1 tbsp.
Lemon juice ¼ lemon
Method of preparation
1 Soaked one cup of lobiya and boil them in pressure cooker and keep a side, preserve the water
2 Heat oil in a pan, add ginger, garlic and green chillies sauté well
3 Add Carrot, cabbage and Chopped onion sauté for further 2 minutes
4 Add the water in which the lobiya was boiled and stir well
5 Add Red chilli, turmeric, garam masala, black pepper and salt to taste
6 Take 2 tbsp. of boiled lobiya and blend it to a smooth paste
7 Add corn starch to the paste and mix well with the soup to give a nice body
8 boil the soup further till it becomes thick
9 squeeze juice of ¼ lemon and serve hot.
Lobiya Salad
Ingredients Quantity
Boiled Lobiya 200 gms
Chopped Onion 1 small
Chopped Tomato 1 small
Chopped Carrot 2 tbsp.
Chopped Cabbage 2 tbsp.
Green Capsicum (chopped) ½ nos.
Chopped Coriander 1 tbsp.
Salt to taste
Black Pepper ½ tsp.
Chopped Green Chillies 2 nos.
Lemon Juice ½ lemon
Chaat Masala 1 tsp.
Farsan dor garnish
Method of Preparation.
1 In a Bowl Take Boiled Lobiya, and Add Chopped Onion, tomatoes, Carrot, cabbage, capsicum, Green Chillies and Coriander
2 Add Salt, Black pepper, lemon Juice &Chat Masala
3 Mix well, Serve Cold.
