Millet (Ragi) Flour-125 gm
Cardamom powder-1 spoon
Salt as per taste
Wheat Flour-125 gm
Milk Cream-1/2 cup
Milk-1 cup
Watermelon seeds-25 gm
Clarified butter-50 gm (if you want add 100 gm)
Organic Jaggery powder-200 gm (you can use normal
jaggery)
Sesame Seeds-25 gm
Almond-25 gm
Take a vessel, add wheat flour, add clarified butter and roast for 3 minutes with low flame.
Take a vessel, add clarified butter, add ragi flour and roast for 3 minutes with low flame.
Heat a pan, add sesame seeds and roast for 10 seconds, add watermelon seeds and roast for 10 seconds, add chopped almond and roast for 10 seconds.
Take a vessel, add lukewarm water, add roasted wheat flour, add roasted ragi flour, add little more water and make a paste.
Heat a vessel, add water, add milk, add milk cream, (you can add khava or condensed milk in place of milk cream) add little chopped roasted almond, add little roasted sesame seeds, (keep remaining for garnish) bring the content to boil, add wheat and ragi flour paste and constantly stir, add cardamom powder and stir, add jaggery powder and stir, (always add jaggery powder at last in order to avoid milk getting spoiled) add 1 tablespoon clarified butter, place the vessel on tawa and cook for five minutes, first 3 minutes on full flame and then 2 minutes on medium flame and close the lid. Take the vessel off the stove. Garnish with the remaining roasted chopped almond, watermelon seeds and sesame seeds. Our wheat and ragi flour halwa is ready.
