Paneer Jalfrezi 5 minutes is a healthy & low calorie recipe. It gets prepared in 5 minutes and yet tastes better than any other time consuming paneer recipes. Its healthy as it has lot of whole indian spices used. Its low calorie because we used less oil in it. This recipe is good for those who do not really have much time for making food or it can be prepared when you are in hurry. Even kids can make and surprise their mom on some occasions
Ingredients:-
Oil – 1 tablespoon
Paneer/ cottage cheese – 150 gm
Onion – 1
Garlic – 2 cloves
Tomato – 2
Ginger – 1 inch
Green chili – 1
Capsicum – green,red, yellow (Whichever color is available)
Honey – 1 tsp (sugar can be used in)
Turmeric – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Deggi mirch – 1 tsp
Kashmiri mirch – 1 tsp
Salt – 1tsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Fenugreek leaves – 1tsp
Cream – 1 tbsp (Curd can be used as substitute)
Whole spices – Bay leaf, Cinnamon, cardamom, cumin seeds, cloves, black pepper, dry red chili
Directions :-
1. Heat oil and add whole spices.
2. Grind onion and garlic and add the paste to the pan
3. Saute it for 1 minute on high flame
4. Grind tomato, ginger and green chili and add the paste to the pan
5. Saute for a minute on high flame
6. Add capsicum and saute for one minute at medium flame and cover and cook for a minute
7. Add all spices turmeric, deggi mirch, kashmiri mirch,coriander, salt, garam masala.
8. Mix well and add 1/2 cup water
9. Let the boil come on high flame
10. Add crushed fenugreek leaves and cream
11. Add paneer and honey and mix well
12. Paneer jalfrezi is ready in 5 minutes.
