Hello everyone! Today’s recipe is an Indian Style Banana Stem Poriyal. The banana stem is known for its health benefits due to its extremely rich source of fibre. This helps with gut problems and even constipation. The best part is that it tastes delightful.

Ingredients:
For Boiling:
1. 3 banana stems
2. 1 cup of water
3. 1 teaspoon of salt
4. 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder

For Pounding:
1. 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2. 1 teaspoon of chilli powder
3. ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder
4. 2 tablespoons of grated coconut

For Cooking:
1. Boiled and strained Banana Stems
2. 2 medium sized onions
3. 2 cloves of garlic
4. A handful of curry leaves
5. 1 green chilli
6. A handful of anchovies (optional)
7. 2 tablespoons of oil
8. ¾ teaspoons of salt
